DVD NYMR Season 2023 6 Disc

In the NYMR’s 50th Anniversary year, the 2023 season started late March with Shadow Running to Whitby and a rare opportunity to see a Class 50 Whitby. Caroline Inspection Saloon with a Class 37 paid their first visit to the NYMR and travelled to Pickering in April. 1st May saw the 100th Anniversary of the J27 and 50 years since it arrived at the NYMR, back in 1973. The event was celebrated with a double headed train of the J27 & No. 29. In June King Charles III with the Flying Scotsman No. 60103 on the Royal Train visited the NYMR to mark the 100th Anniversary Year of the railway and the 100th Anniversary of Flying Scotsman. The Autumn Steam Gala returned in September with guest locos A4 No. 4498 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’, Caledonian Tank No. 55189 and Riddles BR Standard 4 No. 75069 from Severn Valley Railway.
