A4 Class 4-6-2 Sir Nigel Gresley was built at the Doncaster Works of the London & North Eastern Railway, order number 1863, as part of order number 341 of January 1936 and was the 100th locomotive built to the designs of the LNER's Chief Mechanical Engineer, Sir Nigel Gresley.

This enamel badge made in England by Rev Gomm and is exclusive to NYMR, showing the A4 in the temporary LNER Wartime Black as 4498 livery it was painted in following the completion of its 2022 overhaul. Black and red enamel on silver coloured metal with a brooch back fastening.
