BR Lion Wheel Cap Badge

This British Railways Lion and Wheel Cap Badge is made by Rev Gomm in their Birmingham factory. It is an exact replica of those worn on workers uniforms. Supplied with a shank fixing and a cotter pin for attaching to standard Railway Caps. Affectionately known as the Cycling Lion, the lion and wheel was introduced following the nationalisation of the Railways in 1948. 

Six regions available. Dark Blue - LNER, Maroon - LMS (shown), Orange - North Eastern, Green - Southern, Brown - Western, Light Blue - Scottish.
